Kristin Davis is a fourth-generation Oklahoman. A graduate of Casady School in Oklahoma City, Kristin received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in International Relations and Politics from Mt. Holyoke College in Massachusetts, and studied Economics, Geology and Astrophysics at St. Andrews University in Scotland. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas. She has also obtained Accreditation in Public Relations (APR).
Kristin has three decades of experience in communications and public relations and has focused on many areas including media relations, social media, website development, community relations and lobbying. She presently works at Sonic Corp. as Director of Communications. After beginning her career as a newspaper journalist, Kristin served as Vice President of Communications for the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association. Additionally, she helped launch an award-winning, HON-certified, top 5 women's global health and wellness website. After moving back to Oklahoma, she served as the first Executive Director of the nonprofit Oklahoma Women’s Coalition, focused on raising the potential of women and girls.
Kristin is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City’s Class 31, and is also a third-generation member of the downtown Oklahoma City Rotary Club 29 of Oklahoma City. She serves on the Development Committee of the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center and has volunteered on the Speakers Bureau for the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence and is a past board member of the League of Women Voters of Collin County. She was honored by the Points of Light Foundation in Washington, DC, for the creation of the weekly VoluntHero feature column that ran in The Arizona Republic for nearly four years. In 2008 and 2009, Kristin served as a member of the Arizona State Governor’s Commission on Women’s and Children’s Health Planning Committee.
